Responsible for recruiting, appointing and training new agents in the field. Responsible for the ongoing management of agents in territories assigned (Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield (Kern County), Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo). Responsible for the development plans of regions assigned, including premium production, agency appointment, as well as implementation and monitoring of goals for active agents. Conduct agency seminars, and make presentations to/with other departments within the company. Support the Marketing and Underwriting departments by initiating local rating surveys and participating in marketing projects. Work closely with the Underwriting department in support of company underwriting standards and philosophy. Allowed specific underwriting authority. Make field underwriting decisions during face-face agency visits based on predetermined field underwriting authority. Represent the company at industry sponsored trade shows, including staffing the company booth and participating in other trade show activities.
