Description:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and building the CSE corporate brand. This may include the production and execution of CSE direct marketing and branding campaigns and coordination of company sponsored events, supervising the Marketing Administration and Corporate Communication departments, and providing support to other marketing and sales functions. Plan, manage, execute, measure and improve results of direct marketing campaigns. Duties include purchasing media (TV, print, outdoor, radio, etc.), reviewing and contracting creative agencies, budgeting and production of marketing collateral. Identify, understand and execute cutting edge trends in marketing techniques and technology. Develop programs currently running including the company blog, Facebook, Twitter, and mobile platform technology. Staff, evaluate and train personnel. Coordinate meetings to enhance working relationships between marketing, underwriting and appointed agents. Coordinate and/or assist in various agency development seminars and functions.

Description:
|
Under minimal direction, is responsible for preparation of the internal management reports and financial statements. Perform financial analysis of statements or transactions, and assist in answering inquiries from management, customers and outside vendors. Perform accounting work requiring professional competency and independent judgment to prepare management reports and financial reports in accordance with accounting rules. Modify financial systems and procedures to reflect changing business requirements including computer software requirements. Draft monthly report explaining expense variances. Verify that financial statements agree with the trial balance, significant accounts have been reconciled and prepared in accordance with current accounting rules. Assist auditors (external and internal) to successfully complete their audits. Review premium and loss reports for reasonableness and recording of totals in the General Ledger.

Responsible for recruiting, appointing and training new agents in the field. Responsible for the ongoing management of agents in territories assigned (Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange County). Responsible for the development plans of regions assigned, including premium production, agency appointment, as well as implementation and monitoring of goals for active agents. Conduct agency seminars, and make presentations to/with other departments within the company. Support the Marketing and Underwriting departments by initiating local rating surveys and participating in marketing projects. Work closely with the Underwriting department in support of company underwriting standards and philosophy. Allowed specific underwriting authority. Make field underwriting decisions during face-face agency visits based on predetermined field underwriting authority. Represent the company at industry sponsored trade shows, including staffing the company booth and participating in other trade show activities.
